Position Overview

Treston Security Services is seeking a professional, reliable, and highly alert On-Call Armed Security Officer to provide a visible and proactive security presence for a congregation in Manhattan Beach, CA. This is an on-call daytime position requiring strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to interact respectfully with congregants, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate understands the importance of maintaining a welcoming yet secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible armed deterrent presence during operational hours
• Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry
• Conduct perimeter checks and maintain awareness of surroundings
• Remain stationed near primary entrance and/or designated post
• Respond promptly to any suspicious activity or incidents
• Coordinate with local law enforcement if necessary
• Complete detailed incident reports as required
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Requirements

• Valid California Guard Card
• Valid California Exposed Firearm Permit
• BSIS Baton and/or Chemical Agent certification (preferred)
• Prior experience in church/congregation, school, or high-visibility security preferred
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Must pass background screening
• Must be comfortable working around families and children
