Job Title: Armed Security Officer – Apartment Complex
Location: Aurora, CO
Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday | 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (DOE)

This is a steady overnight position, suited for dependable and alert candidates who can ensure the safety of residents, deter unauthorized activity, and respond to incidents effectively.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Colorado Guard License (or ability to obtain if required)

• Valid Firearm Permit / Armed Security Certification

• Minimum 1–2 years of armed security or law enforcement experience

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Clean criminal background and drug-free

• Reliable transportation to/from Aurora

• Strong communication and report-writing skills

Job Duties

• Provide an armed security presence at the apartment complex

• Monitor entry/exit points and enforce access control policies

• Conduct patrols of building common areas, parking lots, and perimeter

• Respond promptly to disturbances, alarms, or emergency calls

• Document daily activities and prepare detailed incident reports

• Deter trespassing, loitering, and criminal activity

• Maintain professional communication with residents, management, and dispatch

Preferred Skills

• Prior law enforcement or military background

• CPR / First Aid certification

• Training in de-escalation and conflict resolution

• Experience in residential/apartment complex security

• Familiarity with CCTV or alarm monitoring systems
