Position Summary

As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at dispensary locations. Your presence will deter threats, enforce compliance, and ensure a positive experience for customers and staff alike. This position is ideal for experienced security professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control:

• Monitor entry points and verify customer and staff identification.
• Conduct bag checks or use wand inspections as needed.

Patrols and Surveillance:

• Perform routine patrols of dispensary interiors and exteriors to deter theft or suspicious activities.
• Monitor security cameras to ensure comprehensive oversight of all areas.

Incident Response:

• Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
• Use de-escalation techniques and appropriate measures to manage situations.

Compliance Enforcement:

• Ensure adherence to state regulations and company policies for cannabis operations.
• Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while addressing violations.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Communicate clearly with site management and law enforcement when necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid California BSIS Armed Security Guard Card.
• Proven experience in armed security, preferably in retail or high-risk environments.
• Excellent communication, situational awareness, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work morning, swing, or graveyard shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong focus on customer service and professionalism.
