Job Description:

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually 

Location: New York

Hours: 50 hours weekly, On call as needed

 

  • Safeguard principals from all possible threats and safety hazards.
  • Detect and respond to alarms and emergency situations.
  • Provide security coverage for principals, guests, and others in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Surveillance of buildings, properties, and estates to protect principals and their assets. 
  • Assist with site surveys of future locations for high-risk employees, ranging from casual to Head of State level events, and assist in logistical advanced planning.
  • Detailed planning will include all aspects and issues relating to physical locality, movements in, out, and around site and event, and preparation for emergencies and other contingencies.
  • May act as primary driver, as well as follow car driver for principals.
  • Must operate vehicle in safe and comfortable manner, identify and counter threats along routes, and render aid in the event of accident or other safety hazard.
  • Ensure vehicles are in good working order, fueled, and clean.
  • Prepare routes in advance, as well as alternate routes.
  • Coordinate with internal client staff to accomplish common goals regarding provision of personal assistance and support for principals' activities.
  • May be asked to liaise with outside Security and Protection Teams who visit the client at their residence or outside locations.
  • Complete reports, including oral and written briefings.
  • Communicate appropriately with staff and principals.


Qualifications:
 

  • The agent will integrate seamlessly with the principal's "Pattern of Life" and should understand the baseline of the normal day to day environment.
  • Be in excellent physical, mental, and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be flexible/adaptable with long hours, ever-changing schedules, and unexpected travel.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully influence, resolve conflict, and remain flexible.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of corporate leadership, form liaison internally and externally with other departments and personnel.
  • Ability to brief, defend, influence, and instruct others on security requirements and policies


Knowledge & Qualifications:
 

  • New York Guard Card (Or ability to obtain one)
  • Prior law enforcement and/or military experience
  • Valid New York Concealed Carry License and/or LEO Licensing
  • First-Aid / CPR Certified
  • High level of firearms proficiency
  • Ability to pass company background and drug screening
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
