Full Job Description:

Treston Security Services is seeking a highly responsible and experienced Patrol Security Officer to provide protection for multiple checkpoints in the South Bay/East LA area. Our Unarmed Security Patrol – Special Unit offers more than just vigilance. This specialized team of high-IQ qualifiers is equipped to handle complex situations with precision, problem-solving, and advanced situational awareness. This role requires strong leadership skills, professionalism, and the ability to direct daily operations while encouraging a safe environment.

 

Additional responsibilities for this Security Position includes:

  • Safeguard principals from all possible threats and safety hazards.
  • Detect and respond to alarms and emergency situations.
  • Provide security coverage for principals, guests, and others in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Surveillance of buildings, properties, and estates to protect principals and their assets.
  • Assist with site surveys of future locations for high-risk employees, ranging from casual to Head of State level events, and assist in logistical advanced planning.
  • Detailed planning will include all aspects and issues relating to physical locality, movements in, out, and around site and event, and preparation for emergencies and other contingencies.
  • Must operate vehicle in safe and comfortable manner, identify and counter threats along routes, and render aid in the event of accident or other safety hazard.
  • Monitor access control for residents, visitors, and contractors.
  • Respond to and manage emergencies, disturbances, or incidents within the community.
  • Prepare detailed incident and shift reports, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
  • Investigate security breaches, rule violations, or resident complaints and provide recommendations to management. All other duties, as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:

Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers. Additional requirements of the Customer Service Officer include:

 

  • A Critical Thinking and Analysis Exam will be provided upon Interview for fulfillment and consideration of employment. The applicant must display a strict level of competence to qualify for this opportunity.
  • A background check will be administered to all approved applicants for this detail.
  • The agent will integrate seamlessly with the principal's "Pattern of Life" and should understand the baseline of the normal day-to-day environment.
  • Be in excellent physical, mental, and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be flexible/adaptable with long hours, ever-changing schedules, and unexpected travel.
  • Have a reliable means of communication and transportation
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • The agent will integrate seamlessly with the principal's "Pattern of Life" and should understand the baseline of the normal day-to-day environment.
  • Be in excellent physical, mental, and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be flexible/adaptable with long hours, ever-changing schedules, and unexpected travel.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully influence, resolve conflict, and remain flexible.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of corporate leadership, form liaison internally and externally with other departments and personnel.
  • Ability to brief, defend, influence, and instruct others on security requirements and policies
  • Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
  • Good organizational skills
  • High School Diploma or GED

 

 

Licenses (Required):

  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card
  • First-Aid / CPR Certified
  • Ability to pass company background and drug screening
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

 

Experience:

Supervisor/Management Experience: 1-2 Years Minimum

Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)

Community Outreach: 1 year (Preferred)

Patrol Security Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
