Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in South Gate. This role requires an individual who is highly aware and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities, including removing trespassers, conducting hourly patrols, and working closely with local law enforcement as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular patrols of the premises on an hourly basis to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and assess the premises for potential security risks or suspicious activities.
  • Address and remove trespassers professionally, ensuring the safety of staff, customers, and property.
  • Respond to calls for assistance, managing incidents and coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with questions or concerns while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Adhere to all security protocols and company policies to maintain a high standard of safety at all times.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a security or law enforcement-related role.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfort with conflict resolution and enforcing security measures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Skills & Abilities:
  • High attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to de-escalate confrontational situations while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Comfortable working with local law enforcement when necessary.

License:

  • Guard Card (Required)
  • Powers to Arrest & Appropriate Use of Force Certification

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Security: 1 year (Preferred)
