Position Summary

As an Armed Security Officer, you will serve as a visible deterrent to potential threats while providing excellent customer service. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety of dispensary staff, customers, and assets by adhering to security protocols and responding effectively to any incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control:

• Verify identification and credentials for all individuals entering the premises.
• Conduct bag checks and wand inspections as necessary.

Patrols and Surveillance:

• Perform regular interior and exterior patrols to deter theft, vandalism, and other suspicious activities.
• Monitor security cameras to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Incident Response:

• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
• Use de-escalation techniques and appropriate measures to handle threats effectively.

Compliance Enforcement:

• Ensure adherence to local laws and company policies specific to cannabis operations.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor when addressing violations or conflicts.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed and accurate reports of all activities, observations, and incidents.
• Maintain open communication with site management and law enforcement when required.

Qualifications

• Valid California BSIS Armed Security Guard Card.
• Previous experience in armed security, preferably in retail or high-risk environments.
• Strong situational awareness, conflict-resolution, and communication skills.
• Availability to work morning, swing, or graveyard shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional demeanor.
