Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Baldwin Hills Area (HOA)
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday: 2200 – 0630 (Graveyard Shift)

Pay Rate: $18 - $19 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

Job Summary:
The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the HOA community in the Baldwin Hills area. This role involves conducting patrols, monitoring community areas, and responding to incidents to maintain a secure and peaceful environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and professional, with a commitment to providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patrolling Duties:
    • Conduct routine security patrols using a golf cart, bicycle, and patrol vehicle to monitor community areas, including residential streets, common areas, and perimeters.
    • Identify and address suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or potential safety hazards.
    • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or resident concerns and take appropriate action in line with post orders and company policies.
  2. Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed and accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity summaries.
    • Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or security risks to the appropriate personnel.
    • Actively monitor the property for compliance with HOA rules and regulations.
  3. Resident and Visitor Interaction:
    • Provide professional and courteous assistance to residents, visitors, and vendors as needed.
    • Serve as a visible and approachable presence in the community, promoting safety and security.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous security experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate and maintain security equipment, including golf carts, bicycles, and patrol vehicles.
  • Strong observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to perform patrols on foot, by bike, and in vehicles during an 8-hour shift.
  • Availability to work graveyard shifts (2200 - 0630).

Additional Skills:

  • Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and emergency response procedures is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
