Position: Special Event Security Officer
Schedule: On-call; primarily evening/afternoon shifts
Availability: Must be available for weekend shifts
Pay Rate: $18 - $21 per hour, DOE

Treston Security Services provides top-tier security solutions for high-profile events throughout Downtown Los Angeles, including concerts, movie premieres, sports events, festivals, and exclusive gatherings. We are currently seeking skilled and professional Special Event Security Officers to help ensure the safety and enjoyment of attendees, staff, and property at these prestigious events.

Position Summary:
As a Special Event Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by controlling access points, monitoring crowd behavior, and responding to incidents as needed. This on-call role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced event settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Access Control:

  • Verify tickets, credentials, and identification at entry points to ensure that only authorized individuals gain access to restricted areas.

• Crowd Management:

  • Monitor crowd behavior and proactively identify and address potential disturbances. Maintain safe crowd flow and assist with guest directions as necessary.

• Monitor and Patrol Venue:

  • Conduct patrols of the venue, including entrances, exits, VIP areas, and general seating. Watch for suspicious activities and maintain a visible presence to deter disruptive behavior.

• Incident Response:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and unauthorized access. Work alongside venue staff and law enforcement when necessary.

• Safety Protocol Enforcement:

  • Enforce venue rules and safety protocols to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for attendees. This includes preventing prohibited items from entering the venue and managing any potential security risks.

• Emergency Procedures:

  • Familiarize yourself with emergency evacuation plans and protocols. Assist with crowd evacuation and liaise with emergency services in the event of a fire, accident, or other emergency.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in event security, customer service, or similar roles preferred
• Valid BSIS California Guard Card 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced, high-energy environments
• Available for evening, weekend, and on-call shifts, as events require
