Schedule: Thursday – Monday (06:00 - 14:30) Tuesday & Wednesday OFF
Pay Rate:
$20 - $21 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

Job Summary:
The Assistant Post Commander will play a key role in ensuring the security and safety of the HOA community in the Baldwin Hills area. This position involves a combination of supervisory responsibilities and active patrolling duties. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervisory Duties:
- Assist the Post Commander in overseeing daily operations and ensuring security personnel adhere to post orders and protocols.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to on-site security staff.
- Act as the primary supervisor during scheduled shifts, addressing issues and resolving conflicts as they arise.
- Patrolling Duties:
- Conduct security patrols using a golf cart, bicycle, and patrol vehicle to ensure community safety and address potential security concerns.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards, and take appropriate action in line with post policies.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or resident concerns and escalate issues to the Post Commander or law enforcement when necessary.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation as required.
- Communicate regularly with HOA management and residents to provide updates on security matters.
- Ensure proper maintenance of security equipment and vehicles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in security operations or a related field, with leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain security vehicles and equipment (golf cart, bicycle, patrol car).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform security patrols on foot, by bike, and in vehicles.
- Availability to work the assigned schedule (Thursday - Monday, 06:00 - 14:30).
