Position Summary

As an Armed Security Officer, you will ensure a safe environment for dispensary staff and customers. You will monitor activity, deter potential threats, and respond effectively to incidents while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control:

• Verify identification and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct bag checks and wand inspections to maintain safety protocols.

Patrols and Surveillance:

• Perform frequent interior and exterior patrols to detect and deter suspicious activities.
• Monitor security cameras and identify potential threats or safety concerns.

Incident Response:

• Act quickly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts and ensure safety.

Compliance Enforcement:

• Enforce all applicable local and state regulations related to cannabis operations.
• Maintain professionalism while addressing policy violations.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of activities.
• Communicate regularly with management and law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid California BSIS Armed Security Guard Card.
• Previous armed security experience, preferably in retail or high-risk environments.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Availability for morning, swing, or graveyard shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to customer service.
